Wild Flowers began
as a coaching method…
Wild Flowers Wild Futures originally came into being as a one-on-one coaching method for women, designed by Emily as part of her MSc in Design at Parson’s in NYC.
The method sought to bring Design and Futures Thinking out of the business world and into the lives of women, like her, anticipating transition and change in their lives. Emily was also keen, after having different experiences of coaching, to offer something different, where the coaching journey offered learning, shared accountability and allyship.
The method has three main aims:
1.Help women to use great, evidence based tools for visioning a future they prefer (their natural future), and supporting them on making the changes in their present to achieve this future.
2.Along the way, clients will sharpen their design, creative and nature muscles, introducing them to new intellectual, physical and natural experiences which can be valuable well beyond the lifecycle of coaching.
3. Shared accountability and transparency. Everything we do as part of the coaching is captured on a unique Futures Canvas, private between Emily and the client, but a place of infinite creativity and collaboration.
Collaborating one-on-one with Emily, clients wanting to design their natural future work with her on a weekly basis. Emily is always there to listen to her clients, but like a mountain guide, she sets up activities for her clients in each session, each one intentionally chosen to support the journey between future and present. We look at objects that you treasure, you become a trend hunter looking for macro trends in your life that could impact your decision making, we use tools from esteemed UNESCO futurists to make sense of your life in a new way, you sketch, doodle, and journal!
Our first and last coaching sessions are always free of charge.
We want this option to be accessible to everyone, and therefore offer a sliding scale for costing.
