About Emily
After studying modern languages, Emily began her career in consumer research for brands like Unilever, Levi’s and the World Gold Council.
By the age of 40 she rose to the role of VP at the Estee Lauder Companies in New York, having launched her career with the company in their Dubai, UAE affiliate. Much of her work was conducted in the homes of consumers, enjoying intimate conversations with women about their needs and motivations. Later in her career she also became a coach and mentor to women across ELC, to support them with the emotional and strategic parts of being a woman in the corporate world.
As with many people, during the pandemic, Emily picked up new interests; hers being the world of Design and Futures Thinking, and keen to pivot in her practice, she undertook a Master of Science in Strategic Design, at Parson’s School of Design in NYC, graduating with first class honors. For her thesis, she designed what is now the thinking and doing behind Wild Flowers Wild Futures.
Emily has a certification in coaching for leadership from Stanford Business School and is currently studying for a certification at the Center for Futures Intelligence and Research.
Outside of work she is passionate about being a mother to Stan, and a mountaineer. Her love of the mountains and wildflowers began in the wadis and dunes of the UAE and Oman.
